 WS Holland Band  Status updates

This year, 2014, WS Holland celebrates his 60th anniversary in music. It all started in 1954 in Memphis, TN at Sun Records when WS, Carl, J.B. and Clayton Perkins drove 85 miles to meet owner Sam Phillips. After hearing the band audition Sam immediately signed them to a recording contract and the rest, as we say, is Rock & Roll history. During 2014 numerous events are being planned to celebrate this milestone in the career of WS Holland and announcements about each are forthcoming

In celebration of WS's "60th Rockin' Anniversary" we'd like to announce the official podcast of the celebration that will tell the story of how WS started his career along with many of the stories of the ride along the way as the original drummer for Carl Perkins and the only drummer ever for Johnny Cash's legendary Tennessee Three.

WS "Fluke" Holland has been nominated for this year's "Mooney Award" by the Ameripolitan Music Association. Voting ends on January 14, 2014. Would you take a moment right now to go to this link and vote for WS Holland in the "Musicians" category. Mr. Holland, who played drums with Carl Perkins, toured with Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, and more, and was the only drummer Johnny Cash ever had for nearly 40 years, would be most appreciative for your vote. It only takes a few seconds to vote. Here is the link to the ballot:

Thank you for your support for this true American music legend.
